More on travel to the Copper Canyon

Apparently the Copper Canyon train is now what it purported to be when I took it with my family years ago. Now it truly is clean, leaves on time, and is equipped with a dining car. See trip adviser for reviews.

Posada Barrancas Rancho The hotel where I stayed with my family, the Posada Barrancas Rancho, appears to have been updated and seems still to be the best place to stay. There are now other hotels in the area, none rated any higher and none with greater appeal, as far as I can tell.

A good description of the hiking possibilities.

For information on the Tarahumara, their fascinating culture and amazing capacity for long-distance running see this National Geographic article.
